How to cancel an order

1. Check the order status

(1) Canceling an order in an unshipped state
First, log in to your account on the independent website. Usually, there will be an entry such as “My Account” or “Personal Center” at the top or sidebar of the website.
After logging in, find the “Order History” or “My Orders” option. Here, you can see a list of all the ordered products. Next to each order, the order status is usually displayed, such as “Paid, to be shipped”, “Processing”, etc.
If the order status shows that the goods have not been shipped yet, you have a relatively high chance of successfully canceling the order.
(2) Canceling an order in a shipped state
When the order status shows “Shipped”, canceling the order will be relatively more complicated. However, some independent websites may still allow cancellation under certain conditions, such as intercepting the package during transit.

2. Order cancellation operation

(1) Canceling the order through the website function (unshipped)
On the order details page, there is usually a “Cancel Order” button. The position of this button may vary depending on the design of the independent website, but it is generally in the area related to order operations.
After clicking the “Cancel Order” button, the system may require you to select the reason for canceling the order, such as “No longer wanted”, “Wrong purchase”, “Found a more suitable product”, etc. Select the appropriate reason and submit the cancellation request.
After submission, the independent website will process your request. You may receive a confirmation email informing you that the order cancellation request has been received and is being processed. Some independent websites will process it quickly, and the order amount will be refunded to your original payment method immediately; while others may take several working days to complete the refund process.
(2) Contacting customer service to cancel the order (unshipped or shipped)
If you can’t find the “Cancel Order” button on the order details page, or if the order has already been shipped, you need to contact the customer service of the independent website to cancel the order.
Find the customer service contact information:
At the bottom of the independent website, there is usually a “Contact Us” link. Clicking this link will allow you to find the customer service contact information. Common contact methods include customer service email, online customer service chat window, customer service phone number, etc.
When contacting customer service, you need to provide the order number, your account information (such as registered email, username, etc.), and the reason for canceling the order. The customer service will handle your request according to the specific situation of the order.
If it is an unshipped order, the customer service may cancel the order directly in the background and inform you of the refund time and method.
If it is a shipped order, the customer service will check whether the package can be intercepted. If it can be intercepted, they will assist you in completing the interception process, and after the package is successfully intercepted and returned to the warehouse, they will handle the refund for you. However, if the package cannot be intercepted, you may need to return the goods according to the return policy of the independent website after receiving them.

Different independent websites may have different order cancellation processes and policies, so it is best to understand the relevant regulations of the independent website when shopping.
